Gear We Use
Every summer at Inconnu Lodge we equip our guides with all the gear necessary for an outstanding fishing adventure. Whether your fishing for big fish in deep water, casting the shallows or enjoying the soothing grace that is fly-fishing, our guides are outfitted with everything you will need if you so choose to leave your gear at home.
Our arsenal includes but is not limited to. Heavy power moderate action trolling/casting rods from St-croix and Shakespeare, paired with Shimano reels and spooled with Power Pro Braided line. We also have fly rods and reels along with all floating/sinking lines needed.
All the tackle required is supplied by the lodge to our guides. The most popular being, Eppinger Dare Devils, Lucky Strike Spoons, Marabou and Tube jigs, Bluefox and Mepps Spinners. Fly’s from Rainys Premium Flies and assorted fly fishing products from Scientific Anglers and Umpqua.
All of the lakes serviced by Inconnu Lodge are equipped with 14 ft Lund boats and Yamaha outboards. We have run Yamaha outboards now for over 20 years and find they are simply the most reliable outboard motors made.
Last but certainly not least is Sonar. Our guides are equipped with quality Sonar/GPS to ensure safe travels on the lakes and the precise ability to locate fish.
