Day trips from Inconnu Lodge to Virginia Falls on the South Nahanni River, NWT in Nahanni National Park.
The Virginia Falls side trip is a spectacular way to see some of the western Yukon / eastern NWT’s, most scenic landscapes. Traveling from Inconnu Lodge via one of our DeHavilland DHC-2 Beavers, the flight allows arial viewing of the Cirque of Unclimbables and Virginia Falls itself. After circling the falls you will land and proceed along a well maintained boardwalk that provides spectacular views of the falls and enjoy a spectacular picnic lunch.
Virginia Falls is staffed by the Nahanni National Park service between July 1 and August 31. Their staff is knowledgeable about the area and are there to guide you along the boardwalk and provide information and history of the area.
Virginia Falls is a Unesco World Heritage site and is twice the size of Niagara Falls, a must see for anyone who is vacationing in the north.
The total trip cost is $ 4,425.00 in the Beaver
The trip is to be divided by the guests partaking.
Total of up to six guests per trip in the lodge Beaver.
Trips are scheduled around the remaining fly outs for that day.
Leaving the resort after the fishermen have been dropped off for the day and returning before they are to be picked up.
