Equipment
Inconnu Lodge operates a Dehavilland Beaver float plane.
The Beaver is known as the workhorse of the North for power
and reliability. The aircraft is based at the Lodge full-time
and is used for a variety of side trips that are offered.
Inconnu Lodge also operates it's own Hughes 500 Helicopter.
It is based right at the resort and will be utilized for Heli
- Hiking, Heli-Fishing and Drift Trips.
On all Inconnu Lodge lakes we use 14-16 foot boats equipped
with 15-25 horsepower motors. For your sitting convenience,
each boat has padded swivel seats. We also have two jet boats
that make river and lake travel a breeze. An unforgettable
Inconnu Lodge day can be spent travelling down a breathtaking
stretch of river connecting two larger lakes. Inconnu Lodge
also offers guided helicopter float trips using Mariva inflatable
rafts.
The Lodge utilizes a variety of canoes to access some of
the local rivers as well. A large amount of other quality
equipment (waders, lifejackets, spare oars, backpacks, etc.)
for hiking, fishing and other Lodge activities is kept at
Inconnu in our large equipment shed to accommodate guest's
needs.
The Lodge has it's own 2,800 ft. runway and can accommodate
aircraft of most sizes, including turbo props.

Yukon Weather
Summers in the Yukon are usually quite warm.
Temperatures range between a low of forty and a high of ninety
degrees F, with the daily averages between fifty to seventy
degrees. Because the Lodge is located on the north side of
the Coast Mountains, only one-tenth the rain that Alaska gets
is received. Clear, sunny skies are the norm throughout the
Inconnu Lodge summer season.

Inconnu Guides and Lodge Staff
All Inconnu Lodge guests are accompanied by
a guide, intimately familiar with all areas around the Lodge
- fishing holes, hiking trails, outpost cabins - as well as
emergency procedures. One guide is assigned for every two anglers, a 2 to 1 ratio.
Your hosts are Warren and Anita LaFave, owners and operators
of Inconnu Lodge. Together they built Inconnu Lodge through
determination and hard work (and many, many flights by the
Super Beaver!). Gracious hosts, they will do everything they
can to make your Inconnu Lodge adventure perfect.

swirling the water around the pan - it wasn't long before

Brown - Atlanta, Georgia
- "We hiked about a mile along the shoreline to a
point where Warren had lit a bonfire. We drank cocoa and
sang songs late into the night, long after the sun had disappeared."
DeAnn Van Leeuwen - Decatur, Georgia
- "It was great to unwind over a drink in the Lodge,
playing pool and telling stories about the day." Sam
Renati - Novato, California
- "The fish we caught were so wild and beautiful that
we never questioned Inconnu's rule that everything caught
be released." Bud Gaylord - Holladay, Utah
- "I was expecting a bunk house with sleeping bags
- what I found was a perfectly furnished warm cabin with
fresh linen and a view of the lake and hot tub." Mary
Collins - Santa Barbara, California
- "Lee was the first one in the water and before Chuck
and I could tie on a green sculpin pattern, he had hooked
into the biggest Dolly Varden I had ever seen." Brent
Feulner - Emigration Canyon, Utah
- "My family and I hiked south along the ridge line,
stopping now and then to spot more caribou sharing the mountain
top with us. It was a good day for a hike." Patti Eubank,
Santa Ynez, California
- "Warren arranged a helicopter to fly us to the Cirque
of the Unclimbables and the Lotus Flower Tower in the Northwest
Territories." Douglas Heinrich, Black Diamond - Salt
